Hi Quinn, thanks for the video that was super helpful. I think all you need to do to get the input control working is to right click on it in edit mode and select Make report-level. That should update the data in the charts as well as the "Origin" field. (You could also replace that field with the input control, to reduce the redundancy of displaying the origin in two places)

One thing that won't work as expected is the behavior when going back into edit mode. Since the dashboard still has the default origin set during creation, it will revert back to it any time you do something to reset the dashboard (edit mode or hard reset). Changing the default origin would require manually editing the parameter value by going to File > Report settings. The origin entered in View mode is more of a temporary filter than a permanent configuration change, which is intentional so any dashboard viewer can change it from the default to any other origin.
