Hi! I found this awesome connector yesterday and started making some reports. Everything worked fine and I continued my work this morning. But then suddenly my diagrams showed no data and I got an error message.

There was an error caused by this connector.

Fel-id: undefined

On some of the diagrams, I get different error codes, but nothing works. I have added four different sites and all are missing data. I even tried making new data sources but it does not work either.

Would love some help to get this working!

Hi,

We've been rolling out some changes to the CrUX Dashboard in the last 24 hours, so some of your reports may have gotten stuck if they were created while things were in flux.

If you go to the three-dots menu and select Refresh data, does that help clear some of the errors?

Alternatively, you could try using the CrUX Dash Launcher to quickly launch a read-only report for a given website.

Thank you Rick for your quick reply!

I tried refreshing the data but it did not help either. I will try again tomorrow or use the CrUX Dash Launcher as you suggested. Thank you!

My report was working until yesterday. Today I get connection errors (see screen shot). We followed https://web.dev/chrome-ux-report-data-studio-dashboard/ to create a Core Web Vitals dashboard. Any idea what's going on?

Hi, if you're still having issues with older instances of the CrUX Dashboard I'd suggest recreating it by starting over at g.co/chromeuxdash. Hopefully you haven't made any major local changes.

Some origins may not be in the dataset so an error message is expected in those cases, but if you previously had data for an origin but it's still not working after creating a new dashboard from scratch, definitely let me know!

I already tried that. I get the error below. It seems to have something to do with the origin URL i.e www.walmart.ca. I see that a new dataset was released a few days ago so I tried
"curl -X POST "https://chromeuxreport.googleapis.com/v1/records:queryRecord?key=[CRUX_API_KEY]" --header 'Content-Type: application/json' --data '{"url": "https://www.walmart.ca"}'" and I get back

{

  "error": {

    "code": 404,

    "message": "chrome ux report data not found",

    "status": "NOT_FOUND"

  }

}

It still does not work for me either. I created a new dashboard from scratch yesterday and were able to connect to the German sites with .de domains. But when I try to create a new data source with our Swedish domains (.se) it does not work. I get the same message as Gaurav Sharma above.

Sorry for the hiccups. I was able to reproduce the error for walmart.ca and I fixed the issue by flushing the cache.

Should be working now. Let me know if you're still having issues.

Thank you Rick! I can confirm flushing the cache fixed the issue for me.

Which cache are you flushing?
Having the same issues.

Thank you for this thread. It is helpful. Having the same issues today as the rest.

What origin are you using for the dashboard?

I flushed the Apps Script and Firebase caches used by the underlying CrUX connector. More info about the connector in this doc.

Great question. I only have view access to the dashboards and can't see the data connectors. Trying to locate the originator of the dashboards.

I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to flush the Apps Scrips and Firebase cache. I don't have any projects there for this. I just created a data source in Data Studio with the Chrome UX Report Connector. I can see the Chrome UX Report under "My Executions" in Apps Scripts, but they are not connected to any projects shared or owned by me.

Skärmavbild 2022-05-06 kl. 11.08.30.png

And in Firebase I don't have anything at all.

Yesterday I could not even create a data source in Data Studio for the four .se sites I wanted to use. Today I could create the data sources, but when I blended the data one of the sites lost connection to the connector again. Then it started working out of the blue. I'm not sure what could be causing this problem with the connection. Should I connect to the Chrome UX Report in a different way? I'm new to using APIs and such, so a Dummies guide would be most appreciated!

Sorry, I should have clarified that flushing the cache is an administrative action that affects everyone's data. The only thing consumers of the dashboard can do is re-sync their data using the Refresh data button shared at the top of the thread.

What origin are you trying to add to the dashboard? For example, it's something like "http://developer.chrome.com". I'll see if I can reproduce the errors on my end.

Ah, thank you! That was my initial thought as well, but I wanted to make sure I was not missing anything :)

The origin I had the most problem with was https://www.revlutionrace.se. But everything seems to be working fine now!

Thank you for awesome support!

Hi, I'm also having a similar problem here.

We are just migrating our old website to a new one, the old one was https://galangdana.kitabisa.com and the new one is hosted on https://galang-dana.kitabisa.com so, the CrUX works fine when fetching from galangdana.kitabisa.com (our old website, which now automatically redirect the user to our new one, but I always get the error undefined when trying to access galang-dana.kitabisa.com

Is this something that is fixable?

I'm seeing data for the new website in PageSpeed Insights, which is a view of the most recent 28 days. The most recent time window in the CrUX Dashboard is the month of April.

So it seems that your migration happened too late for the new website to be included in the April dataset, but I would expect to start seeing it in the May dataset, which will be published to the CrUX Dashboard on the second Tuesday of June.

Note that CrUX considers these to be two separate origins, so by default you won't be able to see historical data from the old website when looking at data for the new website.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'll wait until June to see the result in the CrUX Dashboard.

Btw out of curiosity, what are the steps needed as a website owner to ensure that our metrics get collected to PageSpeed data?

The reason why I'm asking is that our new website has been up since September 2021, and since then whenever user is arriving at our old homepage (galangdana), they will automatically redirected to the new one (galang-dana)

So I'm curious as to why it took almost 7 months for the data to be collected by PageSpeed, and if there is something that we can do to speed up the process in the future.

Sincerely,

The only thing within a site owner's control that comes to mind is if you intentionally set noindex on the new website. The CrUX dataset will only include public origins/pages, so that directive could prevent its CrUX data from appearing in tools. Since you said you just started migrating the website, I suspect you may have only recently enabled it for robot indexing/crawling.

Otherwise, perhaps the new site didn't get enough traffic to be included in the dataset, but that's beyond a site owner's immediate control. Note that the popularity threshold isn't shared publicly.

Is there any workaround or we have just to wait?
Thanks!

I visited that origin in my browser and was redirected to the www subdomain. This is what the error message meant by "Have you tried adding 'www'" :)
