Hi CrUX users,
This is your monthly announcement that the latest dataset has been published to BigQuery.
The 202501 (January 2025) dataset is now available and it covers 18,651,905 origins, an increase of 7.2% over last month (or an increase of 0.4% from the previous month, given December data is always an anomaly).
Here's a look at origins' Core Web Vitals performance this month:
66.2% of origins (↑ 0.7%) had good LCP (↑ 0.9% from Nov data)
77.8% of origins (↑ 0.3%) had good CLS (↓ 0.3% from Nov data)
85.8% of origins (↑ 0.9%) had good INP (↓ 0.1% from Nov data)
51.3% of origins (↑ 0.6%) had good LCP, CLS and INP (↑ 0.2% from Nov data)
As noted last month, there is always a high variability in December data for seasonal reasons so we included the comparison to November data this month, where we see a reversion to form with a good increase in LCP and lesser changes in CLS, INP, and overall pass rates.
There are a number of announcements this month:
We have added LCP image subparts to the CrUX API.
We have added LCP resource types (text or image) to the CrUX API.
We have added Round Trip Time (RTT) tri-bins to the CrUX API.
We have added Round Trip Time (RTT) p75 and histograms to the CrUX BigQuery dataset.
We have retired the ECT dimension from the BigQuery dataset (RTT data offers a replacement at a metric level). This leads to an increase in the number of origins with optional metric coverage (for example INP and navigation types).
There’s a lot to cover for those so you can find more information on those LCP and RTT changes in the announcement post and of course we’ve updated our docs too. You can view the new API changes from today in CrUX Vis. We hope you find the additional information useful to aid in debugging Core Web Vitals.
Cheers,
Barry
