This is primarily for Thomas, but anyone else. A week or so ago I noted how my CodePen demos had stopped working. Thomas shared the documentation for this here, https://github.com/webmachinelearning/prompt-api?tab=readme-ov-file, and I then reached out to CodePen asking them if they were open to making the changes.

They did, and I can confirm it, but today they reached out with:

Hey Raymond,

Littttttle issue here.

In Stable Chrome we get these console messages — which every user of CodePen using Chrome sees. So it's just generating an awful lot of console noise.

Is it possible to ask your Google Rep what is possible to be done about that? This is actually an issue across every browser to some degree, which means we keep iframe allow/sandbox lists separately for each browser.

Unrecognized feature: 'language-model'
Unrecognized feature: 'proofreader'

In the browser's console

Hi Ray,

The good news is that this is only a temporary problem on Chrome browsers <139 where this rolled out. All future versions will recognize the values. They could UA-sniff and not insert the values on older versions, or just sit it out, or remove the values again and insert them again once older Chrome browser usage has decreased enough. My preference would likely be if they just sat it out.

Cheers,
Tom
