Translation of Non English to another Non English

Query, if a person tries to translate to non-English languages, let's say Japanese to Korean, does the API do something like:

JA-EN and then EN-KO

or straight one to the other? I ask because in testing and looking the local files, 2 packs (EN-JA and EN-KO) get downloaded.

@Nathan Memmott, could you help answer this question? Do we use English as a bridge language in some cases like Japanese to Korean? Thanks!

Wouldn't the quality be better if it went from one language directly to the other? Will this change in the future?

Yeah, all language packs are between English and another language. To translate between two non-English languages, we must first translate from source language to English and then English to target language.
