Model Could not download due to insufficient Memory

Recently, I faced this issue (My Mac was almost filled): "Model could not download due to insufficient Memory," not the exact message (I didn't screenshot it). 

I already did this process before and have the model downloaded

I don't know why the model was deleted

I don't know when it got deleted (I used it 2 days ago)

I deleted stuff from my Bin and tried running "await LanguageModel.availability()" in my Chrome console, and was still getting "unavailable"

Restarted my Mac and tried again, it started showing "downloading" and after a few seconds it finished downloading. 

So, if you encounter such, try restarting your computer.

Hi Arinze,

Your device is likely just at the limitations of the requirement for free disk space. During regular use your disk fills up with temporary files so Chrome decides to delete the model to make space, and when you reboot the computer purges these temporary files and you've enough free disk space so the model is downloaded again. This flipfloping is of course suboptimal and we're thinking of improving Chrome's behavior. In the meantime, try freeing up some more disk space so your computer is less likely to get under storage pressure. (I was in the same boat, and ended up getting a new qork laptop for this exact reason.)
