I was testing stuff fine a few days ago (ok, last week), today open up Canary and window.LanguageModel is undefined. Anything in particular I should look for?

window.LanguageModel exists for me in Chrome Canary.
Is chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features enabled for you?

That was it - I'm sorry - is it expected that sometimes these flags may reset or somesuch?

chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features should not reset by itself.
Maybe you used a new profile?

Ya know - I think I may have - ok - will try to keep that in mind. Merci!

I also had to enable that flag, and now I see the LanguageModel again. Interesting though I don't see the flags for Gemini features anymore, except the proofreader, that's the only one in chrome://flags when I search for gemini, but the LanguageModel code is working for me.

I think this is probably because the flags accidentally expired in M141, but have been renewed by this change, and should be available again in the next canary.

Reading that commit it seems like LanguageModel is expected to become enabled by default in Chrome 145?

"expiry_milestone": 145 simply means the Chromium team will have to renew the flag in Chrome 145 if they want to keep it.
It's a way to avoid cluttering the about:flags page with flags that don't matter.
