Building Works but Extension crashes

I've built the mini_installer.exe successfully on windows for v99 and v96 but doesn't matter what settings I change I cannot get the Metamask extension to open and not crash.

I've also built it on Ubunutu and the same thing happens.

Downloading the latest Chromium mini_installer.exe online works fine with Metamask.

The error I get when the bubble notifcation indcates that the extension has crashes:

I don't think that the build@ mailing list is the best place for this question since you are successfully building mini_installer. I'd try chromi...@chromium.org.

They will probably ask you to run all of the browser processes under a debugger so that you can find out why the extension is crashing.
