Hi,

I had a look at the Chromium releases for next year (2024) yesterday at
<https://chromiumdash.appspot.com/schedule> to set up our own schedule for
next year.

One of the release schedules worries me a bit, as it would cause
significant problems for our own release schedule: The Chromium 132
release.

The reason for the worry is that the currently scheduled Stable Release
date for v132 is December 17th, 2024 which is 7 days before X-mas Eve.

As most Vivaldi employees (and probably of many/most other embedders, and
in the Chromium team, too) will be on vacation after Dec 20 until after Jan
1, 2025, that will likely prevent any release of Vivaldi before Jan 8,
2025, which would be two weeks later than normal.

My suggestion is that you reschedule that release to Jan 7, 2025, and that
you in the future avoid (especially Extended) Stable Release dates past Dec
1.

Hi Yngve,

We were able to change these dates per your suggestion. M132 Stable Release date is now Jan 7, 2025. The schedule is updated at https://chromiumdash.appspot.com/schedule.

Sorry for the delay on this -- We actually made the change a couple months ago, but I was on leave and didn't get a chance to send an update.

Thanks,
Harry

Hi,

Thank you very much!

Or as we Norwegians say it: Tusen takk! (Translation: Thousand thank yous)
