GDB startup time back to 1:55 from 0:14?

I think we've recently changed some of our compile/link default options.

I've noticed that this week's gdb startup time is 1m55s. It used to be 14s, as documented in crbug.com/682777 . Linking is faster, but not that much faster. How can I make my debugging sessions productive again?

These are my compile settings:

    is_component_build = true

    enable_nacl = false

    use_goma = true
