Blink infra monthly meeting notes June 2017

Blink Infra Owners is a group of people that work to improve Blink-related infrastructure; some of us work on Blink Infra as our primary project; others work on a particular aspect of Blink Infra part-time.

These notes are mailed monthly to blink-infra, bcc blink-dev and infra-dev.

Status updates:

tansell:

• Layout tests on swarming: Linux, running on all CLs that affect Blink (more than before), average time is 10ish minutes, in parallel with other tests!

• Rolling out to Mac - ran into problem with GPU affecting layout tests on Mac; disabled some tests and filed bug (crbug.com/736177)

• Rolling out to Win - issue with content_shell still running after layout tests are finished running (crbug.com/717348)

skobes:

• Looking into new results page that Aleks made (expectations.html).

• First step may be to make it so that expectations.html is the default, with an escape hatch to results.html.

qyearsley:

• In the process of improving "rebaseline-cl" and removing rebaseline-o-matic.

jeffcarp:

• Apart from wpt export and dashboard work: wrestling with enabling .any.js tests.

Other discussions:

• Aleks noticed that not passing env in ServerProcess allows tests to run much faster (crbug.com/725229) by not making tests time out so much.

• Joshua noted that when he ran layout tests locally he found that running with fewer parallel jobs helped to avoid timeouts.
