Summary
Web Serial API becomes fully supported on Android.

Web Serial API is supported on desktop platforms, no behavioral changes are expected here.

Web Serial API is partially supported on Android for Bluetooth RFCOMM.

Web Serial API for non-BT serial ports becomes supported by using Android Serial API, which will become available in 2026Q2 on a limited set of devices. For other devices no behavioral changes are expected.

Very nice to see this!

It's not part of our process or a requirement, but you might consider sending a PR to update https://github.com/mdn/browser-compat-data/blob/main/api/Serial.json and all places that link to https://crbug.com/40740509, so that this will be reflected on caniuse, MDN, etc., as soon as possible.
