Risks

Interoperability and Compatibility

No known interop or web compat risk.

Gecko: Positive (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1568906) This is a TC39 Stage 3 proposal.

WebKit: Positive (https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=248650) This is a TC39 Stage 3 proposal.

Web developers: No signals

Other signals:

WebView application risks

Does this intent deprecate or change behavior of existing APIs, such that it has potentially high risk for Android WebView-based applications?

Debuggability

It is debugged as any other static method in JavaScript.

Will this feature be supported on all six Blink platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, and Android WebView)?

Yes

Is this feature fully tested by web-platform-tests?

Yes, in test262 https://github.com/tc39/test262/pull/2818

Anticipated spec changes

Open questions about a feature may be a source of future web compat or interop issues. Please list open issues (e.g. links to known github issues in the project for the feature specification) whose resolution may introduce web compat/interop risk (e.g., changing to naming or structure of the API in a non-backward-compatible way).

I think it's fair to say that Web developers are positive about this feature.

LGTM1 - looks like a useful addition to the language.

Hello everyone,

After we shipped iterator helpers, we discovered a web incompatibility in websites using airgap.js (a product from transcend.io). As a result, we unship iterator helpers to fix the issue. After getting consensus on the proposed solution, now we are ready to ship iterator helpers again. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Rezvan
