Don’t miss out!
Dear AYISSI,

The U.S. government has introduced a series of measures against drug cartels as part of what Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent describes as a “whole-of-government” effort. Following the designation of drug cartels as terrorist organizations, the U.S. has implemented transaction bans on three Mexican banks—a first-ever measure. This action aligns with a renewed focus on anti-corruption efforts targeting these organizations and marks the utilization of sanctions as a key tool.

We will be hosting a timely webinar this Wednesday, July 30 at 10am ET titled U.S Actions Against Drug Cartels - New Risks for Companies to discuss the implications of these measures.

This 45-minute webinar will examine the risks for financial institutions and other companies from this prioritization of U.S. anti-cartel efforts and will cover:
  • The significance of the bank bans and what those actions mean for U.S. banks
  • What additional compliance may be required as a result of the bans
  • What additional measures the U.S. may take against the cartels
  • What blind spots companies may have as the U.S. makes this a priority area
