Hello,

Is there any telemetry pageload benchmark for Android for usecase "when some tabs are in background and load a new page in foreground" ?

Thank you,

Hi Sarath,

I think, we do not have a good benchmark set for the scenario, you mentioned.
My optimization works (Loading Dispatcher v0 - background tab throttling) for the same scenario relied on manual checks and field trials that have taken a long time to extract performance impacts for the targeted scenario. From a viewpoint of loading-team, it would be great if we had benchmarks on this specific scenario.

It should be simple to add a test case like this to loading.mobile.

+Kouhei Ueno+Kunihiko Sakamoto would be able to help :-)

Yes, it would be good to have this usecase and measuring
- pageload timing of foreground page
- power consumption for 5 min / 10 min for eg.
- memory consumption
