Hi,

since Android 4.4 webview component (webview.db) and some methods are
deprecated. Is there an alternative possibility for saving credentials?
And in which database the information will be saved. Chrome saves it e. g.
in Login Data.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Kerstin Gahr

See http://crbug.com/536635 for some discussion of why this isn't supported; brief summary is the old password saving APIs didn't match how Chrome handles password saving (wrong scope, and other issues) so they can't be used, we're not planning to introduce a new API for this, and even if we did there would still be no support for this on Android 4.4-6.0 anyway since we can't add a new API until a future android version.
