Hey everyone,

Gerrit (the service behind code review on https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/) is experiencing higher-than usual traffic. The Gerrit team is responding and has enabled extra traffic-protection measures. You may see this as 429s in requests when uploading or patching, or as extra captchas in the UI. For Googlers, the outage is tracked in omg/98529.

Apologies for the disruption. Hopefully the team can identify the source of the traffic increase, and resolve things promptly. We'll keep everyone posted if things are delayed.

Hi Ben,

this seems to also affect `git cl upload` which dumps the raw HTML but has no chance to actually click the button.
Works in the browser from the same computer/ip address but I assume that does not have the right cookies set.

OMG indeed ;-)

That's all very likely stemming from the general availability issues Gerrit's been having this week. Same is true for any sluggishness or 500s encountered when loading the web UI, as well as delays in CQ triggers.

I don't believe there's an ETA for resolution, but the Gerrit team is still actively investigating. Apologies again for the disruption.
