The problem could well be syscall 83, which is "mkdir".

That syscall could be coming either from the Flash process or the GPU
process. Hard to guess which.

If you are opted in to crash reporting, can you give any relevant crash IDs
from
chrome://crashes
chrome://gpu

Also, do you have an Nvidia graphics card, using the Nvidia binary driver?
There was a mkdir() issue there that will be fixed in next week's dev
channel.

As I get more experience with this bug, I believe it's more of a nvidia
driver issue with ubuntu 12.04. I've had crashes from soffice.bin, too, so
it's not just chromium.

Hmm that crash ID seems to be a problem with drag of an image?

Is this still happening in the latest Chrome 20 Beta?

I don't think the dmesg output is related "code=0x50002" is usually
harmless (and longer term, the kernel shouldn't report it).
If you ever saw a "code=0x30000", that's the code for when the new sandbox
has killed a process.

Do you have a crash id for the crash that just happened?

Based on the fact that the crash id we've gotten so far indicates a NULL
crash in Skia, unassigning myself.

Are you still experiencing this problem? (I don't really see how this is
Flash-problem. Also, @4 seems like a different problem from the original
issue, at least at a glance.)

I haven't experienced this since I switched my x-window driver from nvidia
to noveau (sp?). So I think this issue is really a nvidia issue. Thanks!
