Storage team (SFO/MTV) weekly updates. The Storage team works on APIs like Indexed DB, Cache API, DOM Storage as well as the underpinnings like leveldb, sqlite, blobs, quota, and related components like FileAPI and DataTransfer.

Triage

Discussion

• FYI: Histograms show a spike in file errors on Windows across uses of storage (File System API, AppCache, Notifications) using a variety of back-ends (leveldb, sqlite), starting Jan 24th. Does not correlate with a Chrome release, affects multiple versions. Maybe Windows or antivirus update? Appears to be stable or declining now, will monitor. c/o cmumford@, jsbell@
• Lots of SQLite cleanup; no intentional changes, but WebSQL users should probably run some tests using Canary - c/o pwnall@

Async Cookies API

• drop support for old SQLite on iOS in cookie store - pwnall@

Cache Storage API
