RFC: RootScroller URL Bar Hiding

Hi All,

I've been going back and forth on how to fit document.rootScroller in with how the URL bar works and would like some feedback/suggestions/guidance on how to proceed.

I've put together a doc summarising the issue and a few options on how to solve it. I'd like to hear from anyone with a stake which of these is crazy or feasible, potential issues, what you think, etc. before delving deep into any of these. Approaches I haven't thought of are, of course, also welcome.
