Different ways to show my extension

Hi guys, im completly new on chrome extensions,but have some programing knowlodge. 

How can i setup up a sidebar instead of "default_popup": "popup.html" in browse action ?

Chrome does not have a side bar API. You will have to add your content into the tab using a content script or executeScript (or maybe create a popup window that will show up as a side bar, though it cannot always be on top, so that is probably less relevant).
