Chrome Extension MHTML in a Popup

I am developing a chrome extension.

I am using chrome.pageCapture in order to take a "snapshot" of a webpage in MHTML. 

My next step is attempting to display this in a popup. I am not entirely sure where to go from here now that I have the MHTML. Adding the MHTML to the popup does not work, it apparently needs to be processed first. 

Does anyone know of an easier way to go about this, or is the best possible route forward to find a js library that will convert the MHTML into HTML first, and then add it to the popup?
