How to track in-line installations in Chrome extension?

Hey guys, I have a Chrome extension where we have goals defined when users install by clicking "Add to Chrome" button. 

Recently, we added in-line installation in our chrome extension and users will be able to download the extension without having to come to webstore. This results in lesser goal completion in google analytics.

Wondering if I can track number of inline installs of my Chrome extension?
