Feature request - Extension sync

I am getting a bit tired of syncing my extensions manually via
Dropbox, especially on company PC's where I am not allowed to install
Dropbox downloading zipped files manually is tiresome.

Can you please please add a extension sync to the Google Chrome sync?

And if possible make the Google start directory a configurable option
in the settings. I currently use Chrome portable from a USB at work
and point the shortcut at a my personal directory. If you can ever
make Chrome fully portable and usable even from a read only media (USB
drive write blocked at work) like Opera that would be awesome.

Love the browser, can't wait for the release version of the OS, love
the web store. Wish you would hire me to do your security :)

Hello Rakkhis,

Chrome supports extension synchronization for any extension with an
"update_url" set. This option is available in the synchronization
options dialog for -at least- dev-channel builds.

They have. :)

Try the new beta, or wait about a month (unofficial estimation) until it reaches stable.

All of the extensions that have automatic updates will be synchronized (though not their stored data!).

Thats awesome nothing better than having a feature you really want already being available. I am on canary anyway so all good. 

Sync of extensions now enabled.

Any idea about full portable use even with a read only USB drive?
