I changed my password and enabled two factor authentication on September 27th. Since then, I have an orange exclamation mark at the top right of my chromium browser.

When I click on the icon, I get to sign in again (not entirely unreasonable, as I might have changed the password to remove access from a device that has gone out of my control). Every time I go through the login procedure, I get the "uh-oh, something went wrong" message. One of the suggestions is "try again later". Well I've tried again a bunch of times with the same result every time.

Today I tried the "read more about this". The help page tells me to disconnect the account, restart chromium, and then log back in again.

The result is now that my chromium is no longer signed in: I still get the "uh-oh, something went wrong" every time.

Any suggestions?
About tells me: Version 51.0.2704.79 Ubuntu 15.10 (64-bit)

Chrome (and Chromium) 51 is outdated and unsupported. It might be using a no-longer-valid version of a protocol used to communicate between the Google Account service and Chrome, therefore it fails.
Always update your Chrome to the current version (currently 54) in order to avoid being hacked and in order to probably fix those issues.
