Change deafult search engine of Chrome for Android (48)

I have cloned the Chromium source code from https://github.com/JackyAndroid/AndroidChromium and have it open in Android Studio and I was wondering how I could go about changing the default search engine to DuckDuckGo, or adding DuckDuckGo to the change search engine dialog in Chrome settings.
