Python 3 for ChromeOS?

I'm wondering if any one has tried to build Python 3 in ChromeOS? 2.7 is what's currently installed in ChromeOS. I'm trying the Python 3.4 ebuild from gentoo, and build_packages runs into various issues. Just curious if anyone has tried that before.
