Any suggestions on studying how the chrome extension is installed

I want to study how the chrome extension is installed inside the chromium browser.

Now I am working on reading the source code under the extension directory.

Any suggestion on where should I start and which part of code should I read?

Extensions can be installed from a number of places. Try starting at ExtensionService::AddExtension to see what it does and who calls it.
