Chromecast no longer works with Chromium 53

Just found that Chrome cast no longer works with Chromium 53. It always shows "Device missing" while it works perfectly fine with Google Chrome. It looks like Google Chrome has now integrated the cast extension. However, the direct integrated version is broken with Chromium. Previously, the cast extensions installed from the web store works fine with Chromium. 

I hope Chromium is going to be supported as well for the cast extension.
