What I have done:
-Made sure that the environmental variable DEPOT_TOOLS_WIN_TOOLCHAIN=0.
-Added GYP_MSVS_VERSION=2017.
-Deleted and tried again, fetch chromium command; and also gclient runhooks, plus restarted PC and command console
-Visual Studio 2017 Community 15.4.4, Desktop development with C++ component, and the MFC and ATL support
-Windows 10 SDK 10.0.16299.0

  F:\depot_tools\python.bat
  C:\Python27\python.exe
-Python: 2.7.6 32 bit on win32, virtualenv 15.1.0, pywin32 221
-OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
