Resources on tab suspension and page state serialization

Hi folks,

Have you worked on tab suspension or page state serialization in the past? If you've worked on anything from heuristics to decide when to evict a tab all the way to trying to serialize the full v8 stack to disk, I'd love to speak with you and pick your brain sometime this week. Also, any links to previous docs or intents-to-implement would be fantastic.

Regarding tab-suspension, we're actively working on suspending background renderers (Intent-to-implement, design doc). You can find a larger context in Memory Coordinator (design doc).

Regarding page serialization (DOM + V8), kouhei@ did a lot of experiments but decided to not go in the direction because it's too complex.
