Encoding in Chromium

Dear ,

I am newbie in Chromium development and I tried to understand how it works.

I cannot understand how a bitstream is encoded and it is passed in the network during a video call.

Is any document?

As I undestand the implementation of the frmae capture is under the /capture path. 

The video frame is captured and some how is encoded. 

Under which folder is the implementation for the encoding?

How the Hardware Accelators are selected?

Could someone give a hint?
