The Blink Worker team works on worker threads.

News:

• New team member! Welcome shimazu.

• Tokyo will be quiet during Golden Week holidays.

Completeness and compatibility:

• (falken) Attended service worker F2F, triaging the results (wiki)

Developer ergonomics:

• (horo, pfeldman) Improving DevTools support for service worker.

• Added “Bypass service worker” checkbox (CL)

• Added “Show all” service workers checkbox (CL)

• Don’t kill failed service workers when DevTools is attached (CL)

• Added support for attaching to installing/waiting/active service workers simultaneously (CL)

• Show the error message while fetching the SW script in the DevTools console. (CL)

Performance:

• (horo) Implementing V8 Code Caching support for Cache Storage (bug)

• (horo) Added NavigationToFirstContentfulPaint UMA for service worker controlled pages (CL)

• (shimazu) Working on service worker no-fetch-event-handler optimization (bug)
