How is CPU Usage able to be detected and displayed on Google Meet without an extension?

In Google Meet > Troubleshooting & help, I see CPU usage

I've found documentation on how to check this through a Chrome extension -- https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/system_cpu/#method-getInfo

But Google Meets does it without any apparent extension installation.

Chrome unfortunately embeds a module for Hangouts, Meet and other Google products to use. I assume this is one of the functionalities provided by it.
