Copy using alt + select using trackpad not working

Thank you so much for hterm.

I use various mouse aware programs in my terminal (vim, tmux) and use Alt + mouse 
selection to copy text from my terminal into the clipboard. 

This does not work with the internal trackpad on my ASUS C302C Chromebook. The trackpad motion is passed through to vim/tmux as if Alt were never pressed. It works fine if I use a mouse with the laptop.  I am using nassh-0.40 but have had this problem for years now.

Has anybody else been able to remedy this situation using configuration?

Or should I bite the bullet and try to get OSC-52 working with mosh and tmux and tmux+vim? :-)

i'm pretty sure that on CrOS, web pages aren't allowed to capture or even see Alt+Touchpad as the OS rewrites it to a right click event.
