Unable to access SSH from Crosh

I'm no longer able to access the secure shell app from crosh - I'm not sure how long this has been the case but it wasn't an issue for my workflow until recently.

I saw in the FAQ that:

1. The secure shell app allows use with crosh
2. "Don't use crosh for ssh any more, use the Secure Shell app instead. The crosh shell will use the newer terminal emulator from Secure Shell when possible.

Unfortunately, I need to use the crosh window so that ChromeOS doesn't interpret keyboard shortcuts. Whenever I type "ssh" into the crosh window, it get the message:

"The 'ssh' command has been removed.  Please install the official SSH extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pnhechapfaindjhompbnflcldabbghjo"

I click the link which takes me to install the extension which is already installed.

If anyone has a solution or possibly even another method of getting ChromeOS to ignore shortcuts when using secure shell it'd be massively appreciated!

crosh dropped ssh 4 years ago.  not only did you miss the boat, but the train, the taxi, the morning alarm, the calendar reminder earlier that week, ...

Until recently I've been using developer mode and so had access through crosh shell. Apparently I'm not fast enough to catch up on my bike.

if you open Secure Shell in a tab, it spams a tip at the top, but i think most people have gotten used to ignoring all the text shown by default.  i don't have a good idea of fixing humans :/.

[Pro Tip] Use 'Open as Window' or 'Fullscreen' to prevent Ctrl-W from closing your terminal!
