Firebase signInWithPopup issues

Hi. 

I'm developing an extension with Angular and AngularFire where I want to use the signInWithPopup method. This I can do when doing it with plain js and html, however, when I'm using the same method in Angular, the extension's popup window loses the focus instantly when I call the signInWithPopup method. 

This results in a closure of the popup which causes the authentication to fail. 

Could you please let me know how I could keep the popup open till the authentication finishes?

Are you using MV2 or MV3 ?

I have a plain javascript example that works and I can share (using the firebase libs), but have no idea how to make it work in MV3.

I do not think there's a way to keep the popup open. Instead, you should implement your login flow using a dedicated tab rather than the extension's pop window.
