Control the visibility of the Home button on the toolbar in an extension

Hello!

I have a question. I know that Chrome's homepage / startup page can be overridden with a custom url from the extension manfiest. 

And as far as I understand, the extension does not allow you to control the visibility of the Home button? Just want to clarify.
