Has anyone ever worked with an extension that has a shared module format?
I'm encountering issues when publishing the application to the store.
The error I'm facing is as shown in the attached image.

Hi Vu,

Great question! My understanding is that at the moment we haven't seen much interest in these and they are only supported for a limited set of allowlisted extensions. There are some challenges to overcome before we could start allowing them in the store.

Would you be able to share your use case? While I can't promise we can add Chrome Web Store support for these soon, I'm very curious to hear what you had in mind.

Thank you for your response.
Currently, I have several independent extensions and I want these extensions to complement each other's functionalities without having to rebuild the entire source.
For example, I have 2 extensions, A and B: A and B have separate functionalities.
However, I noticed that I can add the functionalities of extension B into extension A as a module, and I have successfully tested this locally.

Thanks, that makes sense.

For now, bundling everything into each extension is the best approach, but it's good to know there's interest for shared modules. I'll pass it on.

Hey again,

I just wanted to note that we've updated the documentation to make this clearer: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/manifest/shared-modules

I know that doesn't help you at this point, but hopefully it will help others.
