Ratings not appearing + Helpful Reviews

I have two questions.

1) I have seen a bunch of 5* reviews come in through gmail; however, when I check dev dashboard, my total ratings count has not increased (this is even after 5 days). Does anyone know why this may be? How does Chrome count ratings ? Seems odd that the 5 * reviews I got would not be counted.

2) We have "helpful reviews" that are not representative of the current features in our app. We have a number of users who have upvoted (marked as helpful) more recent reviews but it does not seem to be changing which ones are marked as helpful. Does anyone know the logic behind how Chrome selects helpful reviews?

With regard to #1, have you verified that the reviews are actually visible when viewing the review tab of your item listing? If they were flagged as spam, the total number of published reviews wouldn't change. 

I don't know how helpful reviews are selected, but given that the UI allows you to select by "Helpful" I'd be willing to bet it's simply sorted by the total number of times other users indicated that a review was helpful.
