I've noticed that a recent update has overhauled the dialog displayed when you long-press an image. It now displays a thumbnail of the image and a truncated copy of the alt text. This means that it is no longer possible to read long alt text, such as that found on xkcd.com. Was this intentional?

There's a bug filed for this but I couldn't reproduce, and it looks like you've already commented on the bug.

Cheers,
Stephen.

As a workaround (won't work for all sites), explainxkcd.com reprints the most recent XKCD comic with the alt-text on the plain page underneath.

https://m.xkcd.com/ is the official mobile version, which shows the alt text in another element (revealed/hidden by tapping on the comic).
