Regarding LCP

Hi Rick,

Hope you doing well mate! 

My question is that what negative impact has in LCP high server response, unused javascript and avoiding critical chain! 

 Can you please little on these aspects!

Hi Nikhil, nice to e-meet you.

Let me share with you this image that hopefully will explain the correlation within LCP by Image (similar on LCP by Text) and with TTFB and render blocking JS/CSS.

As you can see from the image a high TTFB can decrease the time to be able to deliver a good LCP to the user, the later the page is returned the higher TTFB would be but respectively this delay propagates to FCP and LCP.

The same is valid for Render Blocking JS and CSS, if there is a lot of Render blocking CSS and JS code on a page and the LCP time is determined by an Image, this time is critical to allow the browser to discover the image as soon as possible and start downloading it (the blu bar) in order to increase the chance to improve the resulting LCP time.
