Hi,
I submitted the required form to get access to the AI APIs. In addition to this, I also followed all the steps mentioned in this Google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VG8HIyz361zGduWgNG7R_R8Xkv0OOJ8b5C9QKeCjU0c/edit?tab=t.0
I use a Macbook Air M3 with 16GB RAM and 500GB of storage.
At last, I am adding the the docs that were required to download as mentioned in the troubleshooting tab of the above Google doc for your reference.
Thank you

Hi Gurneesh,

When you enter `await self.ai.languageModel.capabilities()` into the Chrome DevTools Console, what does it show? You can then try `await self.ai.languageModel.create()` next.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi again,

Looks like the API didn't get successfully enabled. Please carefully check again the steps in the documentation and the troubleshooting section. Your device definitely is supported.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi again,
I just repeated all the steps mentioned in the doc but unfortunately, it is still not able to download the model. Is there anything else I can do on my end?
Also, in the troubleshooting section, its asks to go to the URL: chrome://histograms/#OptimizationGuide.ModelExecution.OnDeviceModelInstallCriteria.AtRegistration.DiskSpace
According to the docs, it should show 1 but in my case, it shows 0. Below is the picture of the same:

If the histogram shows 0, this means you don't have enough free disk space. Try emptying the trash bin maybe? You need at least 22GB+. If this doesn't help, I don't know what else could be the problem. Maybe instead of Chrome Canary, try Chrome Dev?

I do have 400 GB of remaining storage on my Mac but sure will try chrome dev to see if that works

@Kenji Baheux, do you have an idea what could be the failure reason here? Thanks!

This section of the doc mentions the following "On macOS, use Disk Utility to get the representative free disk space" (assumption: this should avoid ignoring the space used by the trash bin).
If this doesn't help, I'd suggest filing a bug report with as much details as possible and wait for the team's next steps.

Hi, thanks for all the help. It has been resolved. I wasn't using the chrome for developers.
Thanks again
