Disabling SharedArrayBuffer

Hi All,

Due to the recent set of speculative side channel attacks, we're temporarily disabling SharedArrayBuffer starting today. See here for context:

We believe usage at this point is relatively low, but we do know of some sites that are using SharedArrayBuffer. 

We are actively exploring a range of options to bring the feature back safely.

With the landing on Site Isolation on Desktop, we have re-enabled SharedArrayBuffer on Desktop.

It's not yet enabled in my Chrome 68, but a colleague's is. Is this being gradually rolled out? Does it require a browser restart?

SharedArrayBuffers are indeed available in Chrome 68 again. The following platforms are supported: Chrome OS, Windows, Mac, Linux. If you don't see it showing up, please make sure to restart the browser as hinted above.

Please note that in the last TC39 meeting the decision was made to rename Atomics.wake to Atomics.notify. In >=68 Atomics.wake and Atomics.notify are both supported temporarily. Atomics.wake will be removed in future milestones as specified.
