Chrome OS versus Microsoft Office

Hi,

I bought a brand Pixelbook last week, paid for Office 365 subscription and downloaded Excel, Word and Powerpoint from the Google App store and to my surprise I was unable to have all the functionality such as Power Pivot and Power Query in Excel unless I would have been using the Online Version.  I was quite disappointed, hence I contacted Microsoft and Google to be told that I would have to address this issue to the Chromecast Developers.  I'm seeking your assistance and see if there might be some work in progress to fix this issue so that I could fully enjoy the Pixelbook.  I was even told by the Microsoft representative that I should buy a PC or a computer using Windows.  Can someone help me please.  Thank you

Can you go into more detail about why you are unable to use Power Pivot and Power Query? What happens when you attempt? I'm interested in you case.

Is the issue that the android version doesn't support add-ins? If so, the decision as to whether to add support is Microsoft's since it's their application. I'm not aware of any limitation Google has in place that's preventing them from adding support for it.
