Hi guys

Today I come up with a list of extensions that curiously have gone through all the review and update processes and use the "Fraudulent Installations" technique, you just have to look at the users, ratings and release dates to know that all these extensions cheat:

I see that there are thousands of other extensions that use fraudulent installations to climb the rankings and cheat, I will add more.

I think this is becoming a bad thing for all Chrome Store developers and users and I hope that with the new spam directives these extensions can be detected more effectively and not manually.

Zero!!
LOL. This is absolutely ridiculous.

The business of fake view counts is BIG!
Same thing happens on social network sites.

It's ridiculous, I know. This seriously affects and violates the Chrome Store ranking algorithm.

Most of these extensions use very harmful permissions for users.

If this continues, many developers and good extensions will be left behind, nobody can compete against this type of bad practice.

But the worst, users are tricked every day with these practices and they take a very bad image from the Chrome Store. 

I think Google is always watching.

Let's hope!

I do not understand.

I see this list as a real gold mine.

Does Chrome Store team not monitor extensions after the approval process?

All extensions and accounts must be removed from the Chrome Store.

Veo que hay miles de otras extensiones que usan instalaciones fraudulentas para ascender en el ranking y hacer trampa, agregaré más.

Creo que esto se está convirtiendo en algo malo para todos los desarrolladores y usuarios de Chrome Store y espero que con las nuevas directivas de spam estas extensiones puedan detectarse de manera más efectiva y no de forma manual.

The review takes up to 3 weeks, it is impossible to write reviews. That's what Google needs to pay attention to!

I just want to tell you, I completely agree with enable the function to rating extensions. That would be very good.

But it is not as important as you think.

I explain:

The reviews do not help much to the classification of an extension, the Chrome Store algorithm values more the keywords and especially the total number of installations of an extension in a short time, if all their users are completely false or generated.

I put a simple example, search "custom cursor" in the search Chrome Store


 You will see this, the number of ratings is not the most important thing.

I think you should worry about what Chrome Store thinks of this type of practice and what they will do in the future.

That is the important thing.
