Rejected for "Spam and Placement in the Store"

Hi,
Our extension ID nllcnknpjnininklegdoijpljgdjkijc has been repeatedly rejected for: Spam and Placement in the Store.
  • Products must not contain false or misleading information, including in the content, title, icon, description, or screenshots.
  • Descriptions must directly state the functionality of the app so that users can understand the extension they are adding.
  • Screenshots must demonstrate the functionality of the extension in action.
Replying to the Chrome web store support regarding elaboration on the reason for rejection has only yielded marking one of these in bold and not further information.
We're totally in the dark here and trying very hard to figure out what to do in order to comply.

Same experience here at Dashlane.

It's even happening on our internal extension, which is unlisted and only used by employees. We didn't manage to get a clear answer on what is the issue.

The responsible team will provide you with further assistance.

If you believe your chrome items were wrongly takedown, Please consider submitting the reinstatement request from here.

Hi,

Same experince at Comeet.me in last updated of our extension. We contacted Chrome Web Store Developer Support several times (directly by email and by support form) to know the cause of rejection but no answer

Which should be the next step? 
  • Wait for Chrome Web Store Developer Support answer
  • Or try to publish again the extension update?

Could you please explain why is this happening? All our extensions are being taken down and one of our accounts has been suspended.


"Impersonation or Deceptive Behavior"

This policy prohibits deceiving and confusing users, including about the source or affiliation of your item; by mimicking the operating system, browser or Chrome Web Store; by including false or misleading content in your item page, or by misrepresenting or failing to disclose non-obvious functionality. Please review the section in our Program Policies for a detailed explanation of the policy.


To have your item reinstated, please make changes to ensure:

  • The description in your Chrome Web Store listing clearly and fully explains the purpose and functionality of the extension.
  • There are no functionalities unrelated to the primary purpose of the extension.
  • The item and its Chrome Web Store listing do not attempt to mislead users by implying an official endorsement or relationship with another entity.


We are following all policies. 
We do have offers within the extensions, in the form of tiles, under the search bar - which are 100% compliant.
Feedback is highly appreciated.
