Chromium Title Bar

Is it possible to update chromium in such a way that the title bar of chromium is taken out and the top most is only the tab that remains. This is exactly how chrome looks. This is also an issue we have in firefox (only in how it looks) because it wasts about 0.5 cm from the screen jurst for that. I think it would be nicer to have that be used to show content rather than being used for the title. Chrome does that, so I would so much appreciate if Chromium does it too.

Can you post a screenshot of the issue of Chromium? I do not recall any difference in that area...

Please find the images attached showing the difference in heights.

Notice there is a vertical space wasted in chromium and it is not in Google Chrome.

Would so much appreciate if you could add this suggestion to Chromium browser.

I just downloaded -

Chromium 40.0.2210.0 (Developer Build) 

Revision 375f7364c3f315c394d3b7accbd7e236b7ea7b04-refs/heads/master@{#302481}

And started it. It was maximized and the tab strip was on top.

Can you share the entire screen?

I am using Linux Mint 17, the latest.

I guess I had been give a old version of Chromium through mint repositories. I apologise if this has been corrected in a later version 40.0

No, 40 is simply the latest nightly build. You are using a pretty current (38 is the current one) build.

If you right click on the title bar (or maybe somewhere else), I think there is an option to use the system related bar or the Chromium one. I am not sure, though.
