Hi chromium devs,

As I'm sure you've heard, Chromium is in the process of changing over from using Rietveld for code review to using Gerrit. As of today, we're beginning limited dogfood inside chromium/src.git by inviting a few small teams to begin using Gerrit in the directories that they own.

If you've received a message with the subject line "Your team is invited to dogfood PolyGerrit", please go read it now!

If not, please hang tight for just a bit. We're beginning dogfood now because we really value the feedback and want to hear about the experiences of the teams using Gerrit so that we can make this transition as smooth as possible. We expect that the teams we've invited to start using Gerrit will mostly do so on reviews which only touch their specific directories and which are reviewed by other members of their team. But because such things always happen, don't be surprised if you end up as a reviewer or CC on a review hosted on Gerrit.

And as always, your feedback is greatly appreciated. If you do end up on a Gerrit review, this FAQ should hopefully address your questions, and if you run into any issues using the PolyGerrit web application, please file a bug at go/polygerrit-bug.

We hope to roll out dogfood for all chromium developers shortly, so be on the lookout for that announcement too!

Thanks,

Aaron
