Summary

We would like to extend the lowLatency origin trial through M74, with no gap before the M75 release. M75 is expected to start rolling out on Chrome OS on June 11, so we would like to extend the origin trial on M74 to June 25 to ensure a smooth transition, though please let us know if a different timeline is preferred.

Rationale: we have seen a great response to this feature as part of the https://canvas.apps.chrome launch, with high & growing usage and many positive comments about the latency. The feature is shipping in a nearly identical form in M75 as a “desynchronized” attribute when getting a canvas context, and we support a smooth transition in that both attributes can be set by developers (unrecognized attributes will simply be ignored).

Since this is shipping without change in M75, extending the trial till that happens makes sense.
LGTM

Thank you! Is there anything else that needs to be done to extend this trial, or should we just request new tokens for our app? +Douglas Stockwell +blick-dev

Tom,

Please submit a request internally at go/extend-origin-trial. We use that for tracking, and we'll update the developer console, so you can then renew/get new tokens.

Thanks
Jason
